Hello World!! Today is the first time I will write a blog on my own blog site. It hasn't been easy to say the least. I know enough about technology to be dangerous and I'm used to using shortcuts and any means to accomplish assignments, goals, etc. In this superintendent certification program I'm resolving to change my ways. I'm going to read all the fine lines, details and instructions in order to be come a better educator and blogger. One thing I've learned is that if you take your time and give your self plenty of time, the task becomes more manageable. The two previous attempts at this blog assignment were rushed and not well planned out. Old habits die hard. Following the directions (what a novel idea) step-by-step produced the results I had intended. I'm actually excited about this new found ability. I've always loved to journal, but somewhere along the way quit doing it. I want this to be my opportunity to write again. After completing the principal certification program I feel as though I can reflect on anything. I hope this proves to be helpful in my career and personal life.
The last thing in completing week one assignment is to discuss how educational leaders might use blogs. I can see this as a way of communicating at any time in any situation. Blogging can be done through our mobile devices which makes it so easy to communicate in an instant. Blogging also creates a relationship with your colleagues, your staff, the community, and anybody else you want to include in your thoughts.
Thanks for listening...hope to hear from you!
Today I figured out why I could get into my blog. I had the wrong address. When I created the blog I wanted to use my full name. Well, I mispelled it and didn't notice it until today. So I have posted my correct blog address,
